Our Environmental Policy

Welcome to the Enviro Estates environmental policy page. This is our policy which outlines what all Enviro Estates associates must endeavour to do in order to help reduce our impact on the environment. This is also our way of showing you our commitment to the planet we live on.

1. All Enviro Estates associates must come to work either on foot, public transport, or if vitally necessary by a motor vehicle which is classifed as a low emissions vehicle and  the vehicle has been manufactured with the minimum impact on the environment as possible.

2. Associates are reminded to book “block” appointments for any viewings. By this, we mean four or more interested parties are attending the viewings of the property. This way, less emissions are being produced as there is no need to make multiple journeys.  

3. All computers must be switched off before leaving the office or attending a long appointment or meeting. They must not be left on standby and especially not left to switch to a screensaver mode, as this uses more electricity.   

4. All associates are committed to respecting the company’s ethos  and vision, and they shall endeavour to respond in the most efficient way when conducting their employment role, by understanding the importance of minimal waste.

5. Enviro Estates understands that some documents need to be printed, so if any documents need to be printed, they must be printed on recycled paper and all corrections must be made before printing and not afterwards.

6. Enviro Estates are committed to the responsibility of are impact on the environment through burning fossil fuels. Therefore all lighting fixtures must be energy saving and when boiling the kettle, associates are asked to make more than 5 cups of tea or coffee and the kettle must not be overfilled to the extent that there is an exuberant amount of water left, this will reduce the amount of energy we consume.

7. To participate in our credentials. All properties featured must have an EPC rating of an E or above. Associates are asked to put the properties EPC graph on the website, however if this is not feasible, then any party enquiring about the party is automatically sent the EPC rating or told over the telephone.   

8. Associates are asked to write any essential notes on scrap paper. Notes, including telephone messages and contact details are always advised to be logged electronically as this reduces the amount of paper used. All paper which is in need of disposal, should be put in the paper recycling bin.    

9. All associates who hold a driving licence are asked to take a free “enviro” driving session.  The driving session shows ways of reducing the usage of fuel by using more efficient driving techniques, such as lowering the revolutions and braking more economically.
