Providing that your property has an EPC rating of an E or above, then we will arrange a time to visit your property to collect details and take professional photographs to get the best possible feel for your home or rental property. Buyers and tenants are becoming increasingly more aware of the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) and in the future council tax bands may be based upon C0₂ impact on the EPC rating, meaning it is never a better time to gain the best possible EPC rating.

If you already have an EPC, just take a look at your rating which will tell you what rating you have achieved. An EPC rates the property's efficiency and the environmental impact it has by calculating the amount of CO2 produced. It is part of the European Union Directive 2002/91/EC relating to the energy performance of buildings, and is essentially to encompass the impact the property has on the usage of energy.

An EPC rating is measured from an A to a G, (A being the highest). The way to get a better energy rating is to ensure your property has the most up-to-date energy saving solutions: including cavity wall insulation; loft insulation; double glazing; energy saving light bulbs. Usually tenants will feel more inclined to rent a property with better energy ratings.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) is undertaken by a qualified domestic energy assessor (Dip DEA).

Landlords – You can purchase an EPC through any landlord association or some landlord websites.

Home Sellers – Home sellers can purchase an EPC online or via your estate agent.
