Leaving the EU may make the UK less attractive for investment from Chinese investors according to a recent survey undertaken by Enviro Estates
According to a recent survey undertaken by Enviro Estates, leaving the EU may make the UK less attractive for investment from Chinese investors. Enviro Estates asked its database of active investors their opinion on Britain leaving the EU and 90% suggested that the UK may be less attractive for investment.
Active investors only included clients who had invested in the UK over at least two years prior to the survey, either by investing in property, business or education. The survey highlighted that the uncertainty surrounding the UK leaving the EU in terms of the potential impact on the economy, would be a key decider when considering an overseas investment.
Although a fall in the value of the pound would potentially make the UK more attractive for investment, a weaker economy would likely mean less growth for the country and be more of an influence for investment from overseas
